Sushi cook (Cook, Ethnic Foods)

One of the well-known Japanese restaurants, CYSP Sushi Enterprises Ltd (dba. Sapporo Kitchen) located at beautiful Delta, BC is currently looking for qualified and experienced full time Sushi cooks.

1) Position: Sushi cook (available: 3)

• Wage: $17/hour
• Types: Full-time, Permanent
• Working hours: 8 hours/day (40 hours/week)
• Benefits: 4% vacation pay of gross income, gratuities, uniform

2) Job requirements:

• 1 ~ 2 years of cooking experience in relevant area or completion of program in cooking
• Completion of high school
• Language at work: English
• Available to work: lunch, dinner and split shifts, and able to work weekend, maybe some overwork

3) Job duties:

• Prepare and cook Japanese sushi food items (sashimi, sushi, maki, roll etc) on the menu
• Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
• Inspect and clean sushi bar, food service and work areas
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
