• Position: Retail Sales Supervisor (NOC 62010) 
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Compensation: $23.00 per hour 
• Working hours: 30 hours per week 
• Benefit: 5.77% of vacation pay 

Job Duties

• Oversee and supervise retail salesclerks such as cashiers, grocery clerks;
• Prepare work schedule and assign salesclerks to their duties;
• Authorize payments and the return of merchandise;
• Resolve various issues during operation of a grocery including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages;
• Maintain specified inventory and order merchandise;
• Prepare reports regarding sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters of clerks;
• Train and arrange for the training of salesclerks and monitor, report on performance;
• Ensure the visual standards and image of the store are maintained, such as store displays, signage and cleanliness;
• Perform key holding and managerial duties when required, such as opening and closing the store;
• Willing to work on weekends or holiday shifts.

Skills

• Ability to utilize fundamental mathematical concepts and to properly use a cash register;
• Able to understand the cash management system in the retail industry;
• Leadership and great interpersonal skills; 
• Outstanding client service skills and optimistic demeanor;
• Previous supervisory experience in a related field is an asset;
• Professional customer service skills and optimistic demeanor;
• Willing to relocate to a rural area.

Requirements 

• Completion of secondary school
• Min. 1 and less than 2 years of supervisory experience in a retail sales environment
