Job requirements – $22/hour -Full time hours – 40 to 50 hours/week

• Completion of Secondary School 

Experience and Licence

• Minimum 5 year of experience required with potatoes and ginseng.
• Pesticide Applicator’s Licence

Supervision

• 10-15 people

Job Duties 

• Apply the technique of hoeing between the row
• Clear Fields of wood and stones
• Cultivate on vertical farming system
• Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non marketable lots
• Follow sustainable soy farming practices such as crop rotation, reduced till or no till, water and nutrient management, precision farming technology cover crops
• Guide growing shoots into optimal development positions
• Level earth to find grade specifications
• Mixing fertilizer
• Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts
• Seed cutting
• Soil fertility programs
• Tie and secure plants
• Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures
• Maintain financial production records
• Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting
• Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
• Develop work schedules and establish procedures
• Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
• Maintain work records and logs
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment 
• Perform general farm duties
