- Completion of secondary school is required.
Experience & Credentials
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Working at Heights certification required
- Must have Suspended Access and Equipment experience.
- WHMIS certification required.
- First Aid Certificate required.
Job Duties
- Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations.
- Prepare and maintain work materials and supplies.
- Utilize hand and power tools.
- Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.
- Install, repair and service interior or exterior prefabricated products.
- Help tradespersons, apprentices and other workers as directed.
- Perform restorative work.
- Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
- Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging.
- Construct and repair wood or mental supports and structures.
- Load, unload and transport construction materials.
- Impact desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
- Assist mechanics and perform other duties as directed.
- Assemble, erect and install hoisting and rigging equipment.
- Clean building exterior, tanks, chimneys, and industrial equipment
- Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades.
- Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment.
- Erect and dismantle scaffolds and other platforms.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
- Must be comfortable working at Heights.
- Fast-paced environment and Physically Demanding.
- Attention to detail, Handling heavy loads, repetitive tasks.
- Applicants need to be in good physical shape; this line of work requires a lot of lifting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling and hand eye co-ordination.
