Job requirements – $28.39/hour -Full time 40 hours a week

Education 

• Trades Certificate or Diploma in Appliance Installation and Repair Technology/Technician

Experience and Specialization

• Minimum 3 years of experience required with Large Household Appliances and Refrigeration

Certificates

• Appliance Repair Trade Certification
• Gas Fitter Certificate- Level 2 or B
• Ozone Depletion Prevention Certificate

Security and Safety

• Must have valid G license and clean drivers abstract. Candidates will be driving company vehicles.
• Must provide Criminal Record Check. Candidates will be performing appliance repairs at clients homes.

Job Duties

• Conduct voltage, resistance and other tests using electrical test equipment.
• Prepare written estimates of repair costs. 
• Refer to schematic drawings or product manuals to repair parts.
• Diagnose faults, using testing devices.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Repair electrical appliances and components.
• Replace faulty components.
• Advise customers on work performed and condition of equipment.
• Use shop equipment and specialized diagnostic and programming apparatus to repair, adjust and reprogram appliances.
• Perform minor repairs on appliances.
• Repair and service gas appliances and related equipment.
• Investigate electrical or electronic failures.
• Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components.
