HVAC Mechanic installs, maintains, repairs, and overhauls residential central air conditioning systems, commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems and combined heating, ventilation and cooling systems. 

Job Duties

● Read and interpret blueprints, drawings or other specifications, Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components such as motors, controls, gauges, valves, circulating pumps, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators and compressors using hand and power tools.

● Measure and lay out reference points for installation.

● Conduct on-site assessments to determine the most effective installation approach, ensuring proper fit and function of the HVAC systems.

● Collaborate with the project team, including contractors and fellow technicians, to coordinate installation schedules and achieve project milestones.

● Test and troubleshoot HVAC systems to identify and resolve any issues, ensuring the systems operate flawlessly.

● Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations throughout the installation process to maintain a safe working environment.

● Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress.

● Provide exceptional customer service, answering clients' questions and addressing their concerns regarding the installation process.

● Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to enhance your skills and knowledge continuously.


Requirements:

● Proven experience with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in the field; Willing to sponsor a 1st-year apprentice

● In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and installation techniques.

● Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings related to HVAC systems

● Proficient in using a wide range of hand and power tools required for HVAC installation

● Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the HVAC industry.

● Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot HVAC systems effectively.

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members professionally.

● Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and perform manual labor as required.
