Durabuilt Windows & Doors Inc. is seeking to hire Glazier Helpers to join our team at 10920 178 Street, Edmonton, AB, T5S 1R7. All candidates must be willing to join a team environment to strengthen and grow our current crew with a positive attitude and character.

 

We offer:

  • Wage: $22.50 per hour
  • Hours per week: 30 - 40 hours per week
  • Vacancies: 6

  • Full time permanent position

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist glaziers in the shop and on the job site
  • Load, unload and transport cases of glass, other materials and move glass on and off machines with other employees
  • Use tools like tape measure, laser level, glass meter, glass cutter, and suction cups
  • Assist glaziers to assemble parts of prefabricated glass
  • Assist glaziers to repair glass doors and other glass structures 
  • Assist glaziers to measure, mark and cut glass
  • Assist glaziers with delivery, production, and installation of glass products
  • Grind and polish glass and smooth edges when necessary
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications and mix, pour and spread materials as required
  • Perform routine maintenance work as instructed
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction 
  • Assist to assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products 
  • Clean work areas, work sites including debris, glass waste, chemical spills and other contaminants
  • After the job is completed, make sure the clients home/business is clean and tidy
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must be able to communicate in English
  • No degree, certificate or diploma
  • Training will be provided
  • Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Work site environment: Outdoors; Dusty
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding; Manual dexterity; Repetitive tasks; Handling heavy loads; Attention to detail; Hand-eye co-ordination 
  • Personal suitability: Accurate; Dependability; Flexibility; Hardworking
