Work Location: Candidates are required to work at various locations in Lower Mainland, Greater Vancouver as per company contracts.
Wage rate: $21 per hour (40 hours per week)
Education: No education required.
Experience: On job training will be provided.
Language: Basic Knowledge of English.
Job Duties:
- Assist trades men in constructing, renovating residential homes and other wood and cement structures
- Deliver or hold materials or tools to help tradesman and, help in other activities.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials. Select tools, equipment, and materials from storage and transport items to work site
- Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors, and pumps
- Deliver lumber planks, tools, nails, cement, glue, and other material on work site
- Help cut timbers, lumber and/or paneling to specified dimensions, and drill holes in timbers or lumber.
- Assist in shaping, measuring, and assembling wood material, cement material, and related activities
- Operate various hand and power tools
- Mix. Pour and spread material such as concrete
- Clean and prepare surfaces.
- Assist team in completing the rough and finish stages of the stucco portions
Working setting: The candidate should be available to work full-time in the day or evening or on weekends, overtime if required.
Working Conditions: Candidate should be able to lift weight (50lbs). Should be willing to work outdoors, indoors, rain, or shine.
Other Information: Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada. Position is available and open to Aboriginal persons, youth, new immigrants, veterans & visible minorities.
