Business Development Officer

Employment type: Full time, 40 hours per week

Education: Completion of bachelor’s degree.

Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a related field

We are looking for someone who can grow our business to the next level. Our restaurant is a reputable dining establishment in Kamloops, BC. We cater to Ramada Hotel guests, tourists, and locals with far and wide. We are looking for someone to join our team as a Business Development Officer to help us expand to other markets. Your role will be to:

• Develop policies to promote the business locally, nationally, and internationally.
• Design market research questionnaires to see what potential customers and existing customers are looking for.
• Assess business opportunities and develop strategies to attract new customers.
• Evaluate customer service of existing customers.
• Conduct research on consumers, competitors, and the market to identify trends to optimize marketing strategies to put our business on the map of a must-go-to place.
• Prepare reports to management on business development opportunities including catering services, hotel guest services, and regular services.
• Provide consultation on planning and starting of new business prospects.
• Develop marketing strategies to attract new customers.
• Develop and implement business plans.
